It has a resident population all year and ferries go every few hours to Supetar. From there, there is an integrated public transport service about the island. The beach at Bol is featured on most Croatian Tourist material known as 'Zlatini Rat' or 'Golden Horn'. Real estate in Bol is particularly sought after as it has become a centre for 'activity holidays' and is packed throughout the summer - http://www.bol-croatia.com/windsurfing-sports.htm.

There is a small airport on the island for private planes. The most popular property sold on Brac are holiday apartments near the coastal villages, often recently built. A tightening of building rules means that less are now being built, so people are now looking for old Brac property to refurbish. On the island of Brac cottages are often seen along the coast and these occasionally come on the market but are keenly sought after.

Brac real estate is considered a good investment as Croatia is looking to improve her tourist industry.
