Home Old stone houses for sale on Vis (SOLD) Vis, old stone house for sale, 130.000 €

Property description

PRICE REDUCED FROM 160.000 EURO!!

Croatia Property Sales are pleased to offer this rare refurbishment project of a traditional stone house in an island village.

It is situated on Vis island, only a few minute’s walk from the sea, harbour and the main part of the old town.

The house is on 3 floors, each with a similar footprint and a total area of 141m sq.

In addition to the house, the top floor of the house below (32m sq) is also part of the purchase.

There are many options for a layout of the property, either as independent apartments, one house, or business premises with living accommodation above. There are 2 entrances, one of which has not been used recently and which could be restored.

The top floor has partial sea views.

The exterior condition of the house appears sound but the interior requires a complete renovation. Electricity and water etc are present.

This part of the old town does not have parking and the nearest parking is 150m from the house, but deliveries can be made.

There are daily ferry trips to Split which operates throughout the whole year and the island is especially famed for its close knit and welcoming community.

More about Vis

Vis is the furthest large inhabited island from the mainland of Croatia. The ferry takes 2 hour 30 minutes and it is not possible to visit and return from the island in 1 day. It has a population of several thousand people, so has all the modern amenities one would expect. Shops, restaurants, bars etc. are all present but perhaps a little more basic than other tourist 'hotspots'. Sailors love it and most visitors and people who have bought property on Vis love it for its quiet isolation. The wild life, especially in the sea, is a considerable draw for divers, and the hundreds of tiny beaches are often deserted in high summer.

Many people have bought property on Vis and its big charm is in its seclusion.

Vis real estate will always hold its value as there will never be a time when people looking to buy property in Croatia or property on the islands around Croatia are not asking for 'Property off the beaten track on Vis', or 'secluded or isolated properties on Vis'.
