Home Old stone houses for sale in Sibenik (SOLD) Sibenik, old stone house for sale, 265.000 €

Property description

Croatia Property Sales are pleased to offer this beautifully refurbished apartment in the centre of Sibenik.

The property is part of an 18th century building in the heart of the old town, less than 100m from the sea and the harbour, with sea views from the balcony and roof terrace.

It consists of 5 floors, with a total residential area of 185m sq, and was refurbished in 2008. The ground floor was not touched and can become an office or studio. The first floor is set out as a studio apartment, with an independent entrance. The second floor has a similar lay out and the third floor and attic area make a larger flat, with a master bedroom in the attic, and has the roof terrace and balcony with sea views.

The current owners used top quality materials and finishes for the refurbishment, and are prepared to sell the furniture for 5k Euros.

The property is in the protected area of Sibenik and the exterior

facade is historically important.

The Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments in Sibenik, have instructed that, since the house was

built in three phases, using two types of stone 'one part is covered facade, and the second part to be left in stone'.

It also determined that the visible arch at the top of the house remains.

The two apartments have been rented only for one year, but only to

clients with a minimum stay for a week, through the agency in the UK and US.

This property is suitable for tourists, as it has already been divided into smaller apartments, and this type of high quality accomodation is always sought after.

The immediate streets are pedestrian only, and parking is 100m from the property.

The local area is very charming, and tourists enjoy the bars, coffee bars and relaxed Croatian pace of life. There are many historical and cultural attractions in the area, and the National park of Krka is just down the road where quiet nature can be enjoyed.

We will be pleased to answer enquiries about this property, and to arange a viewing.

More about Sibenik

Sibenik is about an hour drive from Split, 80 km north. It is a fabulous tourist destination built around the magnificent Cathedral. The old town is built up the steep hillside from the Riva, giving the appearance that almost every house in Sibenik has a sea view. Kornati National Park, hundreds of tiny islands, uninhabited and protected, make Sibenik a destination with a difference for most tourists.

Sibenik property is more modestly priced than Split. Many Sibenik houses are built with old Dalmatian stone and are often very narrow and tall. It is possible to have a property in Sibenik of 15 sq m going up 5 levels with a roof terrace and sea views.
