Property description

Fabulous property!

We are pleased to offer this historic old stone house, built in 1918 at the end of the Austria-Hungary empire, in the centre of the beautiful village of Primosten, 50 m from the sea.

It consists internally of a ground floor, and three upper floors, one of which is the attic, totaling 500m sq. Each floor is about 150m sq. (18 x 8.5m).

The current layout, which has been untouched since it was built is:

Ground floor: 3 large reception rooms, 2 bathrooms and the main entrance foyer.

First floor: 5 bedrooms plus toilet. (originally 6 bedroom, but two have had their internal walls removed to make it double size. This has 4 windows. The first floor also has the spectacular terrace, 100m sq with spectacular views over the town and to sea.

The original ‘feature’ staircase leads up to the 2nd floor where are 6 more rooms and a toilet.

The attic has never been part of the residential space, but it could easily be incorporated into the property as extra bedrooms etc, and would of course, have the most spectacular and unobstructed views.

There is a large courtyard, which is in the garden, and this is mostly the giant water tank used to store water before the mains supply was connected, which could easily be converted to become a swimming pool.

This is a unique property in Primosten, and since it will always be the dominant building in the old part of the village, would be a superb building to be a Hotel, Spa, Hostel etc.

Primosten is a small, unspoilt and popular village North along the coast from Trogir, easily accessible from the airport, and close to several National Parks.

More about Primosten

Primosten is a 45 minute drive north of Split, the airport and Trogir. For many people with young families this is a sought after holiday destination. It is perhaps the most beautiful of villages along this coast and still retains a timeless Mediterranean air, with its slow pace of life and narrow streets and you are always close to the clear waters of the sea.

The village benefits from being at the end of a peninsular, so the number of casual visitors is reduced and motorists driving along the coast will miss the access to the village as it requires such a detour. When staying in the village or along the coast you can easily reach one of the countries superb National parks, Krka.

People who have bought real estate in Primosten have found the restful, quiet charm has grown on them, and with the loyalty of the growing number of regular tourists, property in Primosten is as sound an investment as any real estate on the Croatian coast.

There are few holiday apartments and villas in Primosten itself, but villas and apartments in the Primosten area offer great value for people looking to invest in Primosten real estate, or have a fabulous holiday property in the Primosten area.

The Golden Flower of Europe, Europe's top tourism award, was won this year (among a strong field of 5,600 towns) by the small town of Primosten, located near Sibenik.
