It was designed for a rural family life, it had a main house, wells for water, and stone outbuildings for keeping cattle and storage.
There were facilities for cooking, making olive oil and a wine press. For many years the house was a ruin.
Renovation included restoring the stone walls and traditional wooden ceilings before installing plumbing, electricity, stone frames, wooden doors and windows, and modern comforts like en-suite rooms and loft-style yoga studio.
The bedrooms were individually decorated and furnished.Restauration and renovation is in process, and shows the development of completely devastated ruin to a very fine construction of few traditional stone houses to be preserved and saved.

Hvar Island is 2 hours by ferry from Split, and the main town on the island is also called Hvar, so be aware so you do not to become confused! It is considered the most exclusive of the Dalmatian islands for various reasons.
