More about Brac

The island of Brac is the largest (400 sq km) in Dalmatia and has the shortest ferry crossing from Split, about 40 minutes. It has a resident population all year and ferries go every few hours to Supetar. From there, there is an integrated public transport service about the island. Most people stick to the beautiful coast but inland it has stunning scenery and secluded meadows and olive and vine groves. The main towns are the Ferry terminal of Supetar, Milna, Postira, Splitska and Bol. You don't need to travel far to find your own secluded beach.

There is a small airport on the island for private planes. The most popular property sold on Brac are holiday apartments near the coastal villages, often recently built. A tightening of building rules means that less are now being built, so people are now looking for old Brac property to refurbish.
