2016 is the most successful tourist season to date in Croatia

Visitor records at Dubrovnik City Walls, Dubrovnik and Pula Airports last week, and in Split are confirming that 2016 is the most successful tourist season to date in Croatia…

 

Minister of Tourism Anton Kliman has announced the results from July according to the eVisitor system, and it has revealed a record month for parts of the country. In July there were 26.6 million overnight stays recorded in Croatia, bringing the total to 45 million for the year.

 

One city which has had a bumper summer so far is the port city of Split on the Dalmatian coast. In July there were 124,219 tourist arrivals in Split, a massive 29% more than the same month in 2015. There were 424,184 overnight stays recorded in Split in July, which was 31% more than in July 2015.
