Zwei ganzjährige Fährenverbindungen verbinden Korcula täglich mit Dubrovnik im Süden und Split im Norden, zusätzlich besteht auch eine Fährenlinie aus Split nach Vela Luka auf Korcula. In der Saison werden weitere Fährenlinien organisiert, um die Insel öfter mit dem Festland zu verbinden.
Korcula, als heute international bekanntes Urlaubsziel, ist ähnlich wie Dubrovnik mit massiven Stadtmauern umgeben, die bis heute, trotz des Alters von über 500 Jahren, sehr gut erhalten sind. Der Atmosphäre der Altstadt tragen natürlich auch die engen Gassen mit schönen Plätzen und ursprünglicher Architektur der Häuser bei.
